Cost: $50 per person
Tickets will be on sale April 28 - May 8 during lunch on red and blue days. Payment may be cash or check (made out to Gar-Field High School).

Dress requirements will be enforced at the door.  Anyone in violation of the requirements will not be permitted to enter the dance and refunds will not be given.

Any student who wishes to bring a guest from another school must submit a completed Guest Form to Mr. Boles no later than Thursday, May 8th, or no tickets will be sold.  All guests must have a valid picture ID to verifiy eligibility to attend the dance.

Prom Portraits:
Victor O'Neill Studios will be taking formal prom portraits throughout the duration of Prom.  The package is only $25.00 and includes two(2) 5x7 prints and digital copy of your image on CD.  Payment may be cash or check (checks made out to Victor O'Neill Studios).  What a great way to share and post your photo online.  Photos will be printed onsite and will be available for you to take home the night of your prom.

Driver Education Mandatory Parent/Student Meeting at Gar-Field

Parents/guardians and their student drivers are required to attend a 90-minute traffic safety program as part of the in-classroom portion of the driver education curriculum. 
  • The Driver Education Parent meeting requires that the parent/guardian and the student attend together.
  • In accordance with Virginia State code, § 22.1-205 Driver education programs, the presentation is required to be 90 minutes in length. The time is 7:00 - 8:30 PM.
  • The presentation will begin promptly at the start time of 7:00 PM.
  • Doors will be open at 6:30 PM.
  • No one will be admitted after the presentation begins.
  • Cell phones and/or electronic devices must be turned off.
  • The Meeting at Gar-Field will be in the auditorium on April 24, 2014.

Registration for new Parent Portal accounts is open to all parents. Click on the link at the left of the web page to register for a new account. 
  

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

1) Class grades and attendance are now being updated in Parent Portal every night.
2) 
Parents who already have a Parent Portal account are now able to edit their emergency contact information. Just a reminder: "Gets mailings for students" should be used only when the parent/guardian(s) live apart from the student. Parent/guardian(s) who live with the student automatically receive student mailings.
3) Parents and Students: Click here for how to change your email address or password.
4) Signed emails for new accounts can be turned into the main office with a picture id any school day from 7:15 am - 3:45 pm.

Student Parking Permits

All students who drive to Gar-Field High School must have a valid parking permit on the vehicle.  The cost of the parking permit is $100.00.  To obtain a parking permit, fill out the Student Parking Permit Application and bring the completed form to Mr. Russell in the Security Office.

Activity Buses 2013 -2014

Activity buses provide transportation for students who stay after school for academic or extra-curricular activities.

Beginning December 9th, activity buses will leave only at 4:30 pm on Monday through Thursday for academic, athletic, and/or club activities. 

There are NO Activity buses on Friday

Check Cashing Policy

We welcome your checks at Gar-Field High School.  However, if your check is returned for any reason, we will electronically present it to your bank for the face value plus a $35.00 processing fee.  Any protest or bad check return fee charged by your financial institution, and all other charges, interest, and attorney's fees are your responsibility. This action will be taken without further notice.  
We reserve the right to decline your check.
