GRADUATION INFORMATION

ATTENTION SENIORS:  On March 18th and 19th, the representatives from Herff-Jones will be at Gar-Field during all lunch shifts to distribute caps, gowns, and announcements.  They will be located in the lower locker area.

Graduation caps, gowns, and other supplies can now be ordered online from Herff-Jones.

Transportation for Transfer Students for the 2010-11 School Year

As a result of the current economic situation, Dr. Steven L. Walts, Superintendent of Schools, has been forced to make drastic reductions in his proposed budget for the 2010-11 school year. As a part of that reduction, all transportation for students who transfer for any specialty program, including the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IBMYP) and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) has been eliminated in the proposed budget. G-F Teacher Finalist for Agnes Myer Award

We are proud to announce that Mrs. Bobbie Mandro, Family and Consumer Science Teacher, is a finalist for the Washington Post Agnes Meyer Outstanding Teacher Award.  The goals of the program are to recognize excellence in teaching, encourage creative and quality instruction, and contribute in a substantive way to the improvement of education in the Washington metroplitan area.

Mrs. Mandro's "talent in leading discussions, asking insightful questions, and dramatic story-telling make boredom impossible," writes a senior.

Special Health Announcement

One confirmed case of MRSA has occurred at Gar-Field High School.  Steps have been taken to address this issue.  The student has been treated and has been cleared by a doctor to return to school.

Grand Gator Bowl Trip for PWCS Students

Gar-Field High School cheerleaders returned from Jacksonville, Florida on January 2 after spending the week there preparing for their Gator Bowl performance on New Year’s Day. SchoolFusion/Edulink InTouch Online Accounts

New this year:  Use the same username and password to login to both the Gar-Field web page and Edulink InTouch Online.  You must have a SchoolFusion account in order to have an Edulink account.  Please wait 1 - 2 school days before logging into Edulink Intouch since there is a time delay to transfer login information to the Intouch system.

Students: Get your login information from your teacher or counselor. 

Parents:
Create your own account using a special Passcode that must be picked up at school with a picture id.  Passcodes are available every school day for pickup from the student's Counselor.

Activity Buses 2009 - 2010

Activity buses provide transportation for students who stay after school for academic or extra-curricular activities.

4:30 P.M. BUS - Monday through Thursday for academic, athletic, and/or club activities
4:30 P.M. BUS - Monday through Thursday for IB Transfer Students Only

There are NO Activity buses on Friday
